We are delighted to share an exciting update with our community.
Intentional Parenting is preparing to begin a creative collaboration with Queen’s Park Arts Centre — a much-loved cultural and community space that champions creativity, inclusion and wellbeing across generations.
This partnership marks an important step in our journey, and we wanted our community to hear it first.
Why Queen’s Park Arts Centre
Queen’s Park Arts Centre is more than an arts venue. It is a place where creativity, community and connection meet — values that sit at the very heart of Intentional Parenting.
At a time when parenting can feel isolating, overwhelming and fast-paced, we believe that creative spaces matter. They offer room to pause, reflect, connect and grow — not just for children, but for parents too.
This collaboration allows us to bring intentional parenting conversations into a creative, welcoming environment, where families can explore wellbeing, culture and connection in accessible and meaningful ways.
What This Collaboration Will Offer
Together with Queen’s park Arts Theatre we are developing a series of parent-focused and family-friendly initiatives, including:
1-Creative parenting workshops that explore connection, communication and emotional wellbeing.
2-Parent–child sessions using storytelling, arts and play to strengthen bonds.
3-Motherhood and caregiver circles, offering space for reflection, rest and shared experience. These will be a game changer! They will include so and painting sessions, flower making, pottery, dance to name a few ideas.
4-Cultural and heritage storytelling sessions, celebrating identity, memory and belonging
These sessions will be designed to be:
✔ Inclusive
✔ Safeguarding-aware
✔ Culturally sensitive
✔ Practical and reflective
More details will be shared very soon.
Why This Matters to you?
At Intentional Parenting, we believe parenting is not only about raising children — it is about supporting families and caregivers to thrive.
This collaboration reflects our commitment to:
-Community-based work
-Creative approaches to wellbeing.
– Partnerships that serve families holistically.

Intentional Parenting invites you to: Tales from Home, a storytelling and cultural expression workshop celebrating African parenting values and heritage. This workshop is supported by Bucks Culture
The event is for you our dear African families. A creative, interactive experience centred on oral traditions and intergenerational bonding.
Mothers are invited to share what parenting feels like here in UK childhood memories, and parenting wisdom from your cultures.
The workshop is there to explore, discuss nuances on generational disconnect, and cultural identity confusion often experienced by migrant families. It will encourage dialogue amongst African mothers offering a relaxed, safe and meaningful way to honour African parenting experiences and legacies.
We aim to create a safe, joyful, and inclusive space where culture and creativity intersect with intentional parenting.
Why this activity?
This activity celebrates creativity, heritage, and connection. It brings diverse mothers together through storytelling and art, honouring the lived experiences of African families in Buckinghamshire and beyond.
By highlighting parenting and heritage in an engaging format, the event strengthens family ties and fosters cultural pride, especially among African mums. It encourages creative participation, learning, and belonging — while making African culture more visible within the broader Buckinghamshire cultural landscape.

🌿✨ Stories Rooted in Heritage, Culture and Growing in Aylesbury ✨🌿
.
On 29th August 2025,we gathered with 8 incredible mothers at Aylesbury Library for our Tales from Home: Heritage Story Circle.
.
What began as a simple circle of chairs quickly became a space of warmth, laughter, and even tears — as mothers shared memories of childhood, traditions, migration, and the values they hope to pass on to their children.
.
Through shared stories and experiences, we reflected not only on where we come from but also on where we are going together as families raising the next generation in Buckinghamshire. 💚
.
This is why spaces like these matter.
They nurture connection, identity, and belonging. They give voice to stories that too often go unheard.
We are deeply grateful to @bucks_culture and @buckscouncil for supporting cultural and community projects that empower families like ours. 🌍
